The 2004 Laverique Methode Traditionelle Reserve is a blend of 50:50 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir co-fermented in tank and left to rest on its lees for 18 months with 20% malolactic. It has an intense, citrus-driven nose with touches of green apple and a touch of granite. The palate is very expressive with good minerality, stony, great tension on the finish. This is an excellent little sparkler from Waipara. Located in Waipara, Canterbury, Sherwood Estate is owned by Dayne and Jill Sherwood, farming four vineyards in the locality and another four in Marlborough. “Clearwater” represents their premium, single vineyard range of winesImporter: Southern Starz, Huntington Beach, CA; tel.
