I enjoyed this wine for its combination of pure fruit and attractive varietal character. This is a crisp, dry, melony wine without any of the vegetal "cat's pee" characteristics that Sauvignon can sometimes possess. A small amount of Semillon was utilized in the blend, which has fleshed the wine out. This tank-fermented and aged, lively, light-bodied example offers plenty of citrusy and melony flavors. Drink it over the next year.Winemaker Jed Steele's second label called Shooting Star offers much needed relief for consumers trying to find a good California wines at a reasonable price.Tel.
