The 2021 Shiraz is jubey and sweet on the nose, with layers of red fruit and leafy spice through the finish. There is some cracked black pepper and pastrami rolling through also. It has a meaty finish. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The 2005 Basket Pressed Shiraz was sourced from dry-grown vines yielding a tiny 1.6 tons of fruit per acre. It was then aged for 24 months in French and American oak hogsheads. Dark ruby colored, it exhibits an enticing perfume of smoke, meat, game, and blueberry. On the palate it has an elegant personality with plenty of savory, spicy black fruit, excellent integration, and several years of potential evolution. It will be at its best from 2011 to 2020. The 2003 Shiraz offers an herbal, eucalyptus nose with spice box, pepper, and blueberry making an appearance.
