Though it opens with a somewhat sweaty nose, once in the mouth this wine settles in to a base of black cherry fruit and earthy tannins. Made with organically grown grapes, and harvested rather late (end of October) from vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills, this is a surprisingly substantial, earthy offering.
