The 2010 Sauvignon Lahn is a gorgeous wine that captures all of the elements that make the wines of St. Michele so appealing. Clean varietal notes, regional expressiveness and the house’s search for textural richness all come together beautifully in the glass. Hints of sage, slate and tomato leaf inform the vivid, textured finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016. I found many delicious wines in this lineup from St. Michael Eppan. The house is best known for their top of the line Sanct-Valentin wines that emphasize textural softness.
