LAST TASTED 5/93This wine exhibits a solid, plummy color with amber at the edge. A dusty, earthy nose reveals plenty of ripe, plummy, jammy cherry scents, intertwined with aromas of saddle leather, licorice, and earth. This spicy, chocolatey style of wine has a certain hardness, but there is enough fruit to make the wine interesting and vibrant. My instincts suggest it is unlikely to attain complete harmony, but it is a gutsy, beefy effort that is atypically muscular for a wine from this producer.
