The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc Adama has some varietally typical aromas on the nose, and is light and easy. It is friendly enough, and tastes like Sauvignon Blanc, but lacks the finish, depth and penetration of better Sauvignon Blancs, including the Chateau Golan example reviewed in this issue. There is lots of acidity, but not much fruit. It is relatively low in alcohol at 11.5%. This is still pleasing for everyday drinking, though, and will make a nice summer quaffer, good to sip on a porch for uncomplicated drinking. It comes with a twist-off cap. Drink now.
