This has a very austere and leafy on the nose, but it improves in the glass revealing some lovely gamey aromas. Very distinct. Very well balanced on the palate with spice, marjoram, game, chestnut and there is a slight roasted quality here. Very good weight on the finish, this Pinot Noir is surfeit with character and beautifully crafted. Good Pinot from Te Mania. Drink now-2017. No known American importer.
