The 2010 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Capitel dei Nicalo wraps around the palate with black cherries, plums, grilled herbs and mocha. It shows quite a bit of depth and texture, but like so many ripassos, it isn-t meaningfully more complex than the straight Valpolicella bottling. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.
