The 2010 Valpolicella Classico Lucchine bursts from the glass with freshly cut flowers, sweet spices and small red berries. This fresh, vinous Valpolicella will drink beautifully over the next 2-3 years. It is a terrific effort at this level. The purity of the fruit is striking. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014. The 2009 Valpolicella Classico Lucchine is a gorgeous glass of wine, especially for the money. There is nothing fancy here, just layers of plump, radiant fruit buffered by lively acidity. I can’t think of too many finer wines for the money. This is a fabulous effort from Tedeschi. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2013.
