The 2018 Fiano di Avellino Terredora is closed or slightly reduced on the very first sniff, so you need a few extra swirls of the glass. It opens quickly, however, to show green pear, apricot and even a touch of wild caper. The wine is snappy, tight and bright on the close. Delicate mineral notes appear as well. This cool vintage shows less ripeness than usual.
