The 2014 Llebre is a straightforward, fruit-driven and simple red with soft flavors and an approachable palate, quite straightforward, pure Tempranillo matured in French oak barrels for three months. 115,000 bottles produced.

The 2013 Llebre is a multi-grape blend, Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet with some others, which spent some time in barrel. It has aromas of toffee with lactic notes, fruits of the forest with some graphite and toasty oak giving it a very commercial profile. The palate has strong oaky-creamy flavors and good acidity. It develops nice balsamic aromas of oregano, garrigue and underbrush. This is very good for what it is, and is very good value. 100,000 bottles produced.

The 2012 Llebre is another multi-grape blend (Ull de Llebre, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Carinena and Syrah) aged for a short time in oak to produce a modern, fruit-driven, jammy red with notes of strawberry compote and sweet spices and a round, polished palate. The 2009 Llebre is a blend of 28% Tempranillo, 21% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Garnacha, 11% Carinena and 10% Syrah. It has a lifted floral bouquet with touches of Chinese five-spice and crushed violets, plus hints of wax resin developing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with silky smooth tannins and comes across far more refined than the aromatics suggest. It is very feminine and lithe with precisely placed dark, minerally fruit on the Rhone-like finish. Excellent. Drink now-2016. Tomas Cusine began his winemaking venture in 2003.
