Here's a wine that I have not tasted in a while. The Tua Rita 2020 Lodano Bianco is the result of a long winemaking evolution underway over these past years. This blend of Chardonnay, Riesling and Gewürztraminer sees its components vinified apart and then put through a brief three months in oak. This adds noticeable richness and texture to the wine, and as expected, the bouquet is especially lifted and floral thanks to the aromatic grapes in its DNA. White rose, honey and summer peach rise from the wine's medium body.

Here’s a white wine from Tuscany that opens to an explosive bang of aromatic intensity. The 2015 Lodano Bianco takes you on a vinous journey that starts with stone fruit, apricot, honey and candied orange peel. It then veers towards delicate mineral nuances with crushed granite and seashell. This is a rich and textured blend of Chardonnay with Riesling and Gewürztraminer that ends with long persistence and refreshing floral freshness. That cleansing acidity comes through on the end with attractive brightness.

The 2014 Lodano Bianco is 50% Chardonnay with 20% Riesling and 30% Gewürztraminer. Only the Chardonnay is aged in oak in 2014 (although this is not always the case depending on the vintage conditions). The results are beautifully fragrant and rich with upfront aromas of peach, pear, tangerine skin and toasted almond. This was a difficult vintage, but you'd hardly know it. The mouthfeel is full and generous.
