It is rare to see a rosé from this appellation, but the 2013 Txakoli Rosado, a blend of 60% Hondarrabi Beltza and 40% Hondarrabi Zuri, (aged sur-lie for eight months and bottled with some trapped CO2) is a dry, fresh, light-bodied rosé that offers up notes of salty sea breezes interwoven with strawberries and a hint of chalk. Crisp, zesty and delicious, it can be enjoyed over the next year.
