An affordable blend that is almost 60% Malbec, the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, Franc and Syrah. It drinks well, smooth and polished, and the rough tannins that can often overtake the fruit in this region have been nicely managed here, pulling the wine into balance. From one of the most talented winemakers in the Rogue Valley comes this red blend, which could be labeled Malbec, as that is 88% of the blend (the rest is Cabernet Franc). The varietal character comes through nicely, wrapped in toasty oak, with lovely spice highlights around raspberry and Bing cherry fruit.
