About as new as you can get, here’s a fresh, simple ’05 Sauvignon that may not rock your world but it won’t rock your wallet, either. Melon and apple aromas get it started, followed by kiwi, honeydew and pineapple flavors. There’s medium zest from moderate acidity, and some citrus rind on the finish. I have been impressed with the offerings from this winery from Chile. Their 1991 Sauvignon Blanc is light, but offers authentic varietal character in its herb, melon-like fruitiness.
