A huge improvement from the overoaked, flawed 2007 Sibaris. This is still toasty and resiny like most Chilean Chards, but it’s also smooth and thorough in the mouth, with orange, melon, vanilla and toast flavors. Peach, vanilla and match stick notes work the nose, followed by flavors of banana, citrus and vanilla. The wine has full-blast acidity working in its favor, thus it’s sort of racy and driving even if the oak is unabsorbed and the finish rather hollow.
