The 2009 Via Cenit spent 12 months in French oak. It is purple/black in color with an impressive aromatic display of pain grille, pencil lead, violets, incense, and blackberry. Full-bodied, structured, dense, and mouth-filling, it has the stuffing to evolve for 3-4 years and will provide pleasure through 2024 if not longer. Savory, ripe, and lengthy, it admirably reflects the superb conditions presented by the 2009 vintage. Tierra del Vino de Zamora should have been included in the Toro DO but was overlooked when the boundaries were drawn. It is located approximately 40 kilometers south of Toro. Vinas del Cenit has 97 acres of Tempranillo vines, 15% of which are ungrafted and over 100+ years of age.Importer: Aviva Vino, New York, NY; Tel. (212) 244-4495
