The 2005 Urraca Familia Langley Reserva is made up of 36% Malbec, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, and 14% Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 18 month in new French and American oak. Purple-colored, it offers up notes of pain grille, mineral, damp earth, spice box, cassis, and black cherry. This is followed by a full-bodied, mouth-filling wine bordering on opulence. It has outstanding depth and concentration, good integration of oak, tannin, and acidity, and a lengthy finish. Give it 4-6 years of additional cellaring and drink it from 2012 to 2025. These three wines from Vinedos Urraca are first-class efforts. Each of them was sourced from high altitude 30-year-old vineyards.Importer: Agrelo Imports, Manhasset, NY; tel. (310) 449-7174
