Coming from the Bendigo sub-district of Central Otago, the 2010 Central Otago Pinot Noir offers a medium ruby-purple color and notes of black cherries and wild blueberry with some bark, anise and loam plus a whiff of chocolate. Medium bodied with a good amount of vibrant berry flavors, it has chewy tannins, crisp acidity and a long finish. Drinking will now, it should remain good to 2015. The Waipara Hills range is produced by Mud House with the focus for this label on Waipara fruit with some Marlborough and Central Otago wines. Generally speaking, this label tends to express a riper, fuller style than the Mud House label.Importer: Maritime Wine Trading, San Francisco, CA
