Jochen Dreissigacker's 2014 Riesling Trocken came to me in a 0.375-liter bottle as an add-on of an invitation for the launch party of the 2014 wines of this commercially, so extraordinarily successful organic Weingut in Bechtheim/Rheinhessen. Indeed, this clear, bright, straight and fruity/racy 12% alcohol Riesling is an excellent stimulant for tasting the whole portfolio of the family company. There are bright and fresh white and yellow fruit aromas of peaches, pineapples and ripe pears on the nose; this leads to a clear, elegant, light to medium-bodied yet quite intense and piquant taste, with a good and stimulatingly salty finish. This wine is an everybody's darling candidate and worth to throw a great party. Your guests will love it because it's rather light and full of charming fruit and finesse, but subtle at the same time. You can also store it for at least 3-5 years. This is a real bargain!
