The 2004 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Kabinett – like its Himmelreich counterpart- is among the more concentrated, rich, and polished of Richter’s 2004 Kabinetts. Smelling of apple and smoked and toasted nuts, it comes onto the palate creamy and rich yet, at 8% alcohol, still delicate and only subtly sweet despite a 50-gram load of residual sugar. The long finish is richly endowed with baked apple and nut oils, piquant apple pit and wood smoke, and a persistent hint of youthful yeastiness. Importer: Langdon-Shiverick Cleveland,?OH; tel.
