Blended of fruit from three cooler climate Pinot Noir regions - Tasmania, Adelaide Hills and Yarra Valley - the 2009 Yarra Burn Pinot Noir has a medium ruby-purple color and aromas of black cherries, warm cranberries and red currents with a hint of baking spices. The medium bodied palate gives plenty of juicy fruit with crisp acidity, low to medium level silky tannins and a long berry laced finish. Drinking now, it should keep through 2014. With a very pale ruby color, the 2008 Pinot Noir has a moderate concentration of interesting, funky aromas giving notes of game, cherry, violets, earth and truffles. This medium-bodied Pinot has medium acidity and a low level of soft tannins. Drink this now and until 2014. Under the Constellation Wines Australia umbrella, Yarra Burn is not currently exported to the US.
