The estate’s 2007 Prosecco Zeta was conceived as a more upscale version of Prosecco. Made from the property’s best fruit, it offers an additional level of weight and depth in its creamy texture. The Zeta has a little more residual sugar than the normal bottling, which contributes to the wine’s greater weight. I am not sure it is noticeably more complex than that wine, just different in style. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2009.Its awfully hard to find a better value in bubbly than the crisp sparking wines of Italy’s Veneto, most notably Prosecco, a wine that has seen its popularity explode in recent years. Zardetto is among the most consistent producers of the region.A Leonardo Lo Cascio Selection, Winebow, Montvale, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620
