Very clear in colour, the 1984 Chardonnay has a wonderful, surprisingly fresh, vibrant bouquet offering delightful beeswax and honeysuckle aromas. The wine exhibits great lift, unfurling and intensifying with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a slightly viscous entry, touches of orange zest, citrus lemon and cooking apple, and a fresh, vibrant finish. Excellent. Tasted May 2011.
