The 2012 Pinot Noir Homestead Block comes entirely from the Pommard clone. it has a fragrant, violet-tinged bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, retaining fine delineation, but more elegant in style than others. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a little grainy in texture with fine backbone and depth, hints of black tea and hoisin infusing the black cherry fruit on the finish. This is another well-crafted Pinot Noir from Van Duzer. Not a bad price either.
