The vines for the home vineyard 2007 Fromm Syrah were planted in 1992. Co-fermented with 4% Viognier, this wine presents a deep garnet color and intense blackcurrant, blackberry and black pepper notes with an undercurrent of tar, licorice and green peppercorn. Very crisp and very tight on the palate, this is an elegant, medium bodied style with fine tannins and a long finish. It’s still very youthful and should drink best from 2012 to 2017.
