This was a strong showing for this densely colored, rich, full-bodied, blackcurrant-scented and flavored wine. There is good sweetness, well-integrated acidity and tannin, a nicely textured feel, and a smooth, lush finish. There are no signs of fruit deterioration or any hard edges in this attractive Cabernet Sauvignon; it will continue to drink well for another decade. The tasting notes for this section are from two single blind tastings, one conducted in May, 1996, in California, and the other in June, 1996, in Baltimore.
