Some obtrusive toasty vanillin from new oak does not entirely mesh with the apricot/cherry fruit in this medium-bodied, ripe, overtly spicy wine. Small amounts of new oak can add structure, but in this wine the wood is dominant. Drink it over the next 8-12 months before the fruit begins to fade.Ths wine was tasted in September, 1995, from bottle, unless otherwise noted. Prices quoted are based on the current exchange rate of five francs per dollar.Importers: Langdon-Shiverick, Chagrin Falls, OH; tel. (216) 247-6868 and New Castle Imports, Myrtle Beach, SC; tel.
