This small estate is making terrific Vacqueyras. The 1993 and 1990 (blends of approximately 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah) are both wine bargains, as well as full-bodied, chewy, exuberant, peppery, fruity Rhone wines. The 1993 is fruitier and less alcoholic, whereas the more powerful 1990 exhibits rustic, animal scents and gobs of peppery, black-cherry, earthy fruit. Both wines should drink well for 5-6 years.
