From a block that is protected from winds and rain, the Schlossberg is always the last vineyard to be harvested. The 2014 Lorcher Schlossberg Riesling offers a very precise and coolish bouquet, with fresh and stony slate and quartzite flavors. The attack on the palate is piquant and racy, and the residual of approximately 20 grams of sugar gives a beautiful balance and charming roundness. The finish is piquant and mineral, and the structure is rather delicate.
