Produced using a small amount of whole bunches (5%) and a wild fermentation, the 2013 Pinot Noir offers a pale to medium ruby-purple color and beautiful perfume of ripe cherries, black raspberries and roses with underlying dark chocolate and cinnamon hints. Medium-bodied with tons of red berry and baking spice flavors, it has a medium level of silky tannins and a long complex finish. The best, most promising Amisfield Pinot I’ve tasted, this wine is to be released in 2 years.
