(vinified in barrels with 30% whole clusters, then aged for 11 months in old French oak foudres): Vivid ruby-red. A wild, highly perfumed bouquet evokes red and dark berry preserves, incense, olive paste and candied violet, with a smoky mineral nuance building in the glass. This smells an awful lot like a serious C?te-R?tie to me. Sweet, energetic and seamless on the palate, offering sappy black raspberry, cherry-cola and floral pastille flavors given spine by juicy acidity. Powerful yet graceful and lithe in character, finishing with superb clarity and harmonious framing tannins.
