The 2008 Dolcetto di Dogliani is a very pretty, harmonious wine with excellent definition, depth and richness, all qualities that are quite rare in this harvest. It is a commendable effort. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013. In recent years Einaudi has made important strides with their Barolos, but readers should not overlook the entry-level bottlings.
