Full ruby with a pale rim. Pungent notes of bay leaf, incense, camphor and juniper complicate very deep, pure aromas of red cherry and raspberry. Rich, dense and suave in the mouth, with a strong mineral underpinning and lively acidity extending the refined, ripe red cherry, anise and graphite flavors through an extremely long, juicy back end. This gorgeous wine is still quite young and should age beautifully. Incidentally, this was the last year in which the Titolo was aged for a year in 100% new oak barriques.
