The 2004 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett smells of nectarine and walnut oil, overlain with fermentative aromas and a whiff of sulfur. In the mouth, this wine is creamy and well stuffed with fruit and mineral. It finishes with great intensity but a trace of phenolic bitterness and obscurant yeastiness. Both of this year’s Brauneberger Kabinetts demonstrate Richter’s claim that his wines from this town need more time to show themselves. Importer: Langdon-Shiverick Cleveland,?OH; tel. (216) 861-6800.
