Bright medium ruby. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, licorice and sweet French oak. Primary and bound up, but with good chewy texture to the flavors of dark berries and chocolate. This brisk, intense wine finishes with a firm spine of ripe tannins and good rising length. Will it expand and gain in complexity with bottle age?
