Although the medium ruby-colored 1999 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard does not possess much size and depth, it represents a premier cru Beaune in its aromatics and flavors. Made completely from Dijon clones of Pinot Noir, particularly #114 and #115, it offers finesse, elegance, light to medium body, and sweet plum, cherry, and cranberry fruit. Subtle and restrained, it is best drunk during its first 5-6 years of life. Virtually all of Littorai's wines, save those sold at restaurants, are purchased via a mailing list.
