The 2011 Pinot Noir Triple Black Slopes comes from Dijon 114 and 777 clone, picked October 28 - November 2, aged for 14 months in 50% new French oak. It has a well-defined bouquet with rustic, brambly red berry fruit, touches of undergrowth and tobacco coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, nice tension here, light but tensile, with a dash of spice on the understated and easy-drinking finish. Again, not a powerful Pinot Noir, but quite stylish.
