The 2011 Pouilly-Fuisse has a very feminine, very pretty bouquet with honeysuckle and quince scents that are beautifully defined. The palate is crisp on the entry with green apple and pear, quite linear and strict and probably needing another year in bottle to evolve the complexity on the finish that the aromatics deserve. Domaine J.A. Ferret was founded in 1850 and passed through a female line of succession that had the nous to bottle themselves, long before the practice became common. Beaune-based Louis Jadot acquired Ferret in 2008 following the passing of Colette Ferret without heir.
