I very much enjoyed the 2017 Rosso di Montalcino Tirso. This wine is nicely balanced and forthcoming. It shows good complexity for a Rosso with bright cherry, dried rose petal, spice and toasted nut. It ages in oak for ten months. In essence, the wine offers a straight-up and transparent expression of Sangiovese with the crisp acidity and lean mouthfeel that is characteristic of the grape.
