This is a very fine effort, although like many 2002s it has completely closed down. It boasts a deep ruby/purple color, medium to full body, high, firm tannin, and sweet notes of creosote, black currants, and flowers. It is a full, classically made, structured wine for long-term cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020+
Although this small vineyard is owned by the Porcheron family, Marojallia is the garage operation of Jean-Luc Thunevin and his wife Murielle. Sadly, production is usually less than 500 cases.
