From the Sang plot and picked around October 20th at roughly 100° Oechsle, the 2018 Eitelsbacher Karth?userhofberg Riesling Auslese offers a very clear and flinty bouquet with darker and spicier earthy flint notes. The palate is pretty sweet yet piquant and salty with good tension and grip on the long finish. Keep this wine for at least 10 years, but be prepared to like drinking it over decades. Bottled with 8.5% alcohol plus 93.5 grams per liter of residual sugar. Tasted from AP 12 19 in June 2019.
