The 2007 CHARDONNAY was vinified on the lees for nine months in French oak. It is bright, light and refreshing, with a modest finish and well controlled oak nuances. It is rather fruity and tasty with some good acidity. It will always be better when younger. This is not a big wine, but it has some charm. Drink now-2010. All of Recanati’s wines are Kosher. A nicely balanced Chard with typical attributes of lemon rind, crisp red apple, butter and toasted nuts. Aged in French oak and sur lie for nine months, the mouth is quite full and developed with flavors of baked apple and brioche. An excellent choice for chicken; drink now.——L.B.(4/1/2009)—— 85
