When I poured this bottle of 2021 Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon, I immediately thought of Prince's song Sexy M.F., which I promptly played while I tasted this wine. I find myself as convinced by the song as I am by the wine—it has fruit appeal and juiciness, rhythm and pace, but it lacks a convincing mid-palate that drives it through the finish. Like the horn section in the song, it has some interest, but not enough to get it over the line.

Strikes appealing balance between power and elegance, with concentrated salted black licorice overtones to the blackberry, blueberry and cassis flavors. Shows notes of rosemary, Earl Grey and tobacco that mingle with dense tannins, which have both grip and polish to them. Expressive finish.
