All of Romero's wines are black/purple-colored, with fabulously ripe black fruit (cherries, raspberries, and a touch of licorice), firm underlying acidity, and thick, rich, concentrated flavors. The 1995 Cotes du Rhone Villages Rasteau Cuvee Confiance exhibits an opaque purple color, a chewy texture, aromas of cassis and kirsch, superb definition, and gobs of fruit and body in the long finish.
