The 2011 Viernes is already showing the extra year in bottle, and as it’s a wine designed to be drunk young is already losing its fruity exuberance and drying up a little. Having said that, it should still provide great pleasure for a couple of years. Drink 2013-2014. Godelia is a very recent winery, created in 2009 by the Garcia Rodriguez family. They own 35 hectares of vineyards, in different locations with varying altitudes and orientations. They work with white Godello and red Mencia, 30 hectares of them on trellises and the rest are head-pruned old vines. The winery has 36 stainless-steel tanks of different sizes and 250 oak barrels.
