This wine, made from 100% Grenache, has a character not unlike a
southern Rhone. Reminiscent of a Chateauneuf du Pape, this 1989 Negre possesses a roasted, herb and berry-scented nose, rich, glycerin-infused, deep, full-bodied flavors, and lusciously intense, heady, alcoholic finish. Drinkable now, it should age nicely for 5-7 more years. Importer: a Christopher Cannan/Europvin Selection, Watertown, MA.
