Siduri's first Syrah effort appears to be excellent. The dark plum/purple-colored 1998 Novy Cellars Stage Gulch Vineyard displays a charming nose of blackberries, pepper, cherry liqueur, and spice. It is low in acidity, soft, round, and generous. The spicy richness and evolved, precocious style are typical of the 1998 vintage. This wine should be drunk during its first 6-7 years of life.Tel.
