The 1995 Indian Wells Vineyard Chardonnay offers enticing aromas of pastry dough as well as an oily-textured, rich, medium-bodied and ripe personality with toast, smoke and tropical fruit flavors. Well-delineated and defined, yet possessing notes of banana and mango, it could easily be perceived as a synthesis between traditional white Burgundy and California Chardonnay. Drink it between now and 2000.Chateau Ste. Michelle's wines are for the most part beautifully made, well-structured and well-defined.
